Britain's Prince Harry and William joked they were "practising" helicopter flying for Queen Elizabeth's opening ceremony cameo.
The monarch played a humorous role opposite James Bond actor Daniel Craig in a sketch at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and the pair - who are both helicopter pilots in the armed forces - have laughed they were preparing to help her for some time before the event.
William said: "We were practising for months beforehand. Harry and I were flying the helicopters."
A stunt double of the 86-year-old royal is seen jumping out of a helicopter in the ceremony, and Harry joked it is a "hidden hobby" of their grandmother.
He said: "It's a hidden hobby of hers, clearly. Who knows what she is going to come up with next?"
Speaking to Canadian broadcaster CTV, Harry added how proud the brothers were to watch their cousin Zara Phillips win a silver medal in eventing.
He said: "It was fantastic for us to have a chance to be there."
