Britain's Prince William attended a charity fundraiser held by women hedge-fund chiefs last night (11.10.12).
The Duke of Cambridge made a solo appearance at the gala hosted by 100 Women in Hedge Funds Philanthropic Initiatives at St. James's Palace in London.
The royal gave a heartfelt speech at the dinner in which he praised their contributions to the SkillForce charity.
William is the patron of the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Philanthropic Initiatives charity and this is his third year attending the event.
William and Duchess Catherine have been on separate public engagements this past week, with the Duchess of Cambridge stepping out in Newcastle on Wednesday (10.11.12) while William travelled to Essex for the funeral of his childhood nanny, Olga Powell.
The duchess - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to the couple's nuptials - also met families involved in an addiction programme in Stockton, Teesside, where she was greeted by around 2,000 well-wishers.
William and Catherine managed to find time to catch up late on Wednesday evening and were spotted scuttling through the back door of posh nightclub Loulou's in London's swanky Mayfair district.
The couple were joined by the brunette beauty's sister, Pippa Middleton and the duke's cousin, Princess Eugenie.
