Britain's Prince William amazed skiers with his open affection towards girlfriend Kate Middleton.

The couple - who are currently on holiday in the French resort of Courchevel with a group of friends - stunned diners in a mountain-top restaurant with their intimate behaviour.

A source said: "They were sitting right next to us on the mountain-top restaurant. Kate was really tactile with William and they were messing around in a loving way with each other. It was rather cute.

Kate, who was wearing a white ski-jacket and goggles, is quite tiny in the flesh, incredibly slim and very pretty. William was in sunglasses but was instantly recognisable. They seemed a very loving couple.

It had originally been reported that the 27-year-old prince would not join his girlfriend of seven years on her £8,000 ski break as he was too busy training as a RAF Search and Rescue pilot to take the time off, but it appears he has had a change of mind.

This time last year, the second-in-line to the throne splashed out £40,000 on a trip to the same resort with Kate.

A source said: "William has booked a chalet which is out of this world. It's not the place they usually stay, but William has decided he wants to do something different."
