Princess Anne will attend a sheep dog trial next month.
The 58-year-old Princess Royal has confirmed she will attend the opening day of the International Sheep Dog Society's International Supreme Championships at Thrimby in Cumbria, north west England.
Up to 10,000 spectators are expected to attend the event, where handlers and dogs from around the world will compete against each in several different categories.
The venue at Thrimby looks absolutely brilliant
Show organiser Andrew Hall is thrilled Anne - who is a patron of the society - is attending the championships.
He said: "It is great news for the society and for the event that Princess Anne will be there on the Friday, September 11. It is always nice to welcome such a prominent, honoured guest.
"The venue at Thrimby looks absolutely brilliant. Princess Anne came to the same home nation's event for our centenary in 2006 when it was in Scotland.
"She is certainly someone who enjoys the countryside and who genuinely enjoys herself with us."
