A comic book based on the life of Britain's Princess Diana has been published in the US.
The tome - entitled 'Female Force: Princess Diana' and written by Chris Arrant - brands the late royal "a modern British icon" and an "admirable woman".
An excerpt reads: "Diana, Princess of Wales, emerged in the early 1980s as a fresh faced addition to the historically stoic British monarchy.
"She displayed remarkable humanity especially when set against the stoic aristocracy of the British royal family.
"Although her life was ultimately cut short, she forever holds a place as a modern British icon and admirable woman not only to England but to the entire world."

The book features memorable events in Diana's life including her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles, the birth of sons Princes William and Harry, her charity work, her divorce and subsequent interview Martin Bashir, and Charles' affair with Camilla.
There are also several pages dedicated to her death in a Paris car crash in 1997 and state funeral.
Darren Davis, from publisher Bluewater Comics, said: "It's aimed at everybody. We want kids to read it because it's a comic book.
"We've found that some of the people reading the books are women buying them for their daughters. We want girls to learn what she has done.
"We also wanted to look at an admirable British icon who won hearts around the world as a princess, public figure, philanthropist and parent."
But the comic is not so kind to Charles, branding his "post-divorce love life" a "half-hearted cloak and dagger attempt to conceal his relationship with his long-time mistress Camilla Parker-Bowles".
