Spain's Princess Letizia showed her respect for tradition during a visit to Abu Dhabi.

The princess and her husband Prince Felipe visited the Sheikh Zayed mosque - the eighth largest in the world - in the United Arab Emirates earlier this week, and teamed her stylish trouser suit with a white shawl and removed her shoes before entering the place of worship.

Letizia's appearance came as she was named one of Spain's most fashionable female celebrities.

According to a poll on www.VipVenta.com, the princess's smart casual attire and eye for accessorizing lands her a place in the top 10, alongside Penelope Cruz, Eugenia Silva, Isabel Preysler, and Nati Abascal.

The men with the best style in Spain include actor Javier Bardem, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Rafael Medina, Jon Kortajarena and Cayetano Rivera.

Letizia and Felipe were in Abu Dhabi primarily for the world energy summit and to help promote Spanish culture in the region.
