The Netherlands' Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme married lawyer Tjalling ten Cate on Saturday (03.05.08).
The couple - who are expecting a baby in August - tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in a small village in the Dutch province of Utrecht.
Maragarita's aunt Queen Beatrix was there to witness the union, which saw the newlyweds celebrate by walking through a shower of white rose petals.
Maragarita and Tjalling - who made the double surprise announcement of their engagement and pregnancy in February - have been living together in Amsterdam for the past year.
Tjalling, 32, was first introduced to the Dutch public earlier this month when he joined the princess at a party in the capital, thrown for her aunts Queen Beatrix and Princess Margriet.
Margarita was previously married to businessman Edwin De Roy van Zuydewijn for five years before their divorce in 2006.
When Margarita married Edwin they enjoyed both a civil ceremony in Amsterdam and another service in a Catholic Church in France.
