Royal News The Norwegian royal family is considering suing several gossip magazines for publishing false rumours about Crown Princess Mette Marit's child, Marius.Eight-year-old Marius is the crown princess's son from a previous relationship. Some German magazines have alleged the youngster has been cut off from the rest of the royals and is suffering depression.There have also been reports that Marius is the target of kidnappers. Court spokeswoman Astrid Versto expressed the royal anger to the Verdens Gang newspaper.She said: "They are reacting to the focus on a child, in this case Marius."The Scandinavian royals are popular targets for German gossip magazines. In Sweden the royal family retain media lawyer Matthias Prinz a few years ago to review questionable reports, which helped stem the flow.Prinz succeeded in getting several magazines to publish corrections and retractions of incorrect articles.Last year Prinz predicted that the gossip magazines would run more stories about Norway's royal family - and has been proved right.

Crown Prince Haakon and Mette Marit have a one-year-old daughter Ingrid Alexandra, and are expecting another child in December.
