Britain's Queen Elizabeth took a tour around Liverpool's Albert Dock in a yellow Duckmarine yesterday (17.05.12).
The monarch was joined by Prince Philip on the visit to the city, which she is undertaking as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Earlier in the day the pair visited Chester Zoo, where she was met by hundreds of well-wishers who had arrived as early as 6.30am to see her.
Gloria Ackerley took her whole family on the trip, saying she wanted to see the queen because she is a "special person".
She told The Sun newspaper: "We just want to see the queen. She is such a special person and the jubilee is such a historic occasion."
While there, Elizabeth unveiled a plaque at the entrance of the zoo, which has been renamed the Diamond Jubilee Quarter.
She also met two white rhinoceros, while the prince went to see elephants at the venue.
The pair also took a monorail trip around the zoo.
Earlier this week the queen and Prince Philip visited Burnley and Accrington, in addition to South East London.
