Britain's Queen Elizabeth is said to be disappointed about royal revelations in Tony Blair's new book 'A Journey'.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth is believed to be disappointed comments made in Tony Blair's new memoirs.

The monarch - who has seen 11 British prime ministers during her 58-year rein - is said to have been upset by revelations about the nature of their relationship in his new book 'A Journey'.

A Buckingham Palace insider told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Her Majesty has to be able to talk to her chief minister in confidence, without any sense of trepidation that her words might some day be retailed in a cheap and cheerful volume of memoirs.

No prime minister before has ever done this and we can only hope that it will never happen again.

Among the information given in the book is a discussion between the former prime minister and the queen in which she said lessons had to be learnt from the way relations had been handled in the wake of Princess Diana's death in 1997.

He also revealed the queen doesn't mind doing her own domestic work, and recalls a barbecue he attended where she did the washing up.

He wrote: "You think I'm joking, but I'm not. They put the gloves on and stick their hands in the sink. The queen asks if you've finished, she stacks the plates up and goes off to the sink."
