ROYAL FILM AXED BY HOLLYWOODA Hollywood movie about executed royal MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTS has been axed because filming locations in Scotland proved too expensive for studio bosses.Plans were cancelled to bring the story of the ill-fated Queen - who was beheaded in 1587 by a fearful QUEEN ELIZABETH - to the big screen after film- makers failed to find suitable, and financially viable, shooting spots.WARNER BROS - who also scouted locations in Ireland and Romania - had signed up RIDLEY SCOTT to direct and THE VILLAGE beauty BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD to play Mary in a story focusing on the Queen's romance with the EARL OF BOTHWELL, years before she met her violent end.A spokesman for Bryce admits the actress is devastated about the news: "Bryce is very unhappy. She was really very excited about this role."However, movie heads insist the film is only in "suspended animation".The spokesman adds, "It may be reactivated at some point, we don't know."0Comments | Be the first to comment!
