Britain's Prince Charles and wife Camilla reportedly want to visit devastated New Orleans during their upcoming trip to the US. The royal couple will visit New York, Washington and San Francisco during their ten-day stay in the States this November - but want to add a trip to the south to meet grief-stricken victims of Hurricane Katrina. However, US President George W. Bush is said to be against the couple visiting New Orleans, as they are already planning to pay their respects to the victims of September 11 in New York. Bush reportedly fears that also seeing the distress and damage caused by the hurricane could make the couple's official tour "too sombre". A royal insider told Britain's The People newspaper: "Charles has sounded out the possibilities of a visit through aides with the full support of Camilla. President Bush is happy for them to pay respects to the victims of September 11 in New York. "But he feels a second visit to a scene of devastation would make the trip too sombre and downbeat."
