Malachy (Glen Wallace) is keen to get to work on The Loft, but ends up slipping and hurting himself and Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) arrives to find her man wounded on the floor.
The graduates are not too eager for their first day of work at the call centre.
Kris (Gerard McCarthy) elects to brown nose the manager, Sheila; but his snotty joke about Zak's accent, leaves him without any friends at the end of the day.
Abi (Elaine Glover) is shocked when Daniel (Chris Hargreaves) tells her that he consciously provoked Natty (Danny Tennant) to hit him. Carmel (Gemma Merna) recruits Mercedes to help clean up at Evissa but ends up doing most of the work herself.
