Britain's Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson's sister has fallen victim to internet identity theft.
The duchess' older sister Jane Ferguson - who moved to Australia in the late 70s - has been impersonated in a cheeky personal profile on social networking site Myspace.
Her laptop was stolen in December during a burglary at a studio in Hertfordshire, England
The unknown imposter, who calls herself "Lady Jane", has posted photos of the duchess' sister, including one with her daughter, Ayesha Makim, when she was a child.
In the "about me" section of the page, the phony Jane writes: "I was born into British Aristocratic circles. I grew up with my sister Sarah Ferguson in the highly respected polo circles of England. I often mixed with royalty and visited Windsor Castle."
She proclaims she signed up to the site to find a "serious relationship" and meet "friendly people".
Her online friends include Hilary Clinton, British singer Eva Katzler, Australian star Bessie Bardot and series of teenage girls making pouty faces.
The real Jane - who is 51 and has never been titled Lady - told Britain's Daily Express: "I have never joined Myspace, Facebook or any of those internet sites due to imposters, which that person clearly is. I do hope you can stop this and report it to the authorities please."
