Britain's Duchess of York is set to write a children's book on bullying.

Sarah Ferguson - who once claimed her father-in-law Prince Philip bullied her following the breakdown of her marriage to his son, Prince Andrew - wants to use her own experiences in the tome as a way of helping young people understand and deal with their troubles.

She said: "All children face new experiences as they grow up and helping them understand and deal with each of them is one of the most demanding and rewarding things we do as parents.

I hope these books encourage children and parents to talk about these issues. Talking goes a long way to finding a solution.

Frances Gilbert of publisher Sterling Children's Books, which is behind the new series, believe the duchess was the perfect person to ask to write the book.

Frances told the Daily Express newspaper: "What better role model to share her wisdom about how to navigate the twists and turns of today's family?"

Sarah, 50, has already written books for children including 'Little Red' and 'Tea With Ruby', as well as her 1996 autobiography 'My Story', in which she admitted Prince Philip left her reduced to a "great ball of fear."

She previously said: "It was so bad that I believed I was this worthless human being. I want to know not why he says I'm odd and pointless, but why it would affect me."
