Prince Harry

Britain's Prince Harry has been praised as "down to earth".

The 29-year-old royal - who is set to celebrate his 30th birthday on September 15 - has been praised for his friendly and "down to earth" attitude in a documentary about his life so far.

Following on from a tour of Afghanistan, Prince Harry - who serves in the Armed Forces - travelled back to the UK with an injured Royal Marine named Ben McBean and has since gone on to support him in his recovery.

Speaking about his relationship with the flame-haired royal on 'Harry at 30', Ben said: "He's just a normal guy, I keep calling him bloke because you just have a pint with him down the pub."

In addition to supporting Ben, Harry has also founded the Invictus Games - a sports event which kicks off later this month to raise awareness and support for injured servicemen and women - and is patron of the 'Walking With The Wounded' charity.

He travelled to the South Pole in 2013 in support of wounded soldiers and in 2011 joined a team of servicemen, which included a man named Jaco Van Gass, on a trek to the North Pole.

Jaco said of the Prince: "From the moment he stepped off that plane he said, 'Guys don't call me Harry or sir it's 'H' and I'm one of you guys I'm part of a team now'. It's amazing how down to earth he is."
