The 31-year-old red-headed royal has been recognised as the person one in six people would most enjoy spending an afternoon indulging in cream cakes and classic English beverage with, as a survey by Armed Forces charity SSAFA has proved, which has also been reported on the Daily Express website.

The Prince of Wales beat BBC presenter Sir David Attenborough who landed 15 per cent of the vote, whilst Queen Elizabeth followed in third place with 11 per cent.

Harry's older brother Prince William, 33, didn't get placed within the public's top 10 choices, and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge - with who he has two-year-old son Prince George and 14-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte with - polled 10 per cent of the vote, falling one per cent short of equalising with Her Majesty.

Meanwhile, the former England football captain David Beckham, the 'Great British Bake Off' host Mary Berry, and 'The Night Manager' actor Tom Hiddleston successfully reached the top 10.

Speaking about the outcome, the SSAFA spokesperson, Tegan Jones, said: "It's interesting to see how the results reflect a sense of patriotism, with the top ten list being full of British celebrities and Royals."
