Britain's Prince George has been crowned the most influential person in London.

The royal tot - who was welcomed into the world on July 22 - has been placed first in the London Evening Standard's annual Power 1000 list after becoming the capital's biggest global ambassador since his birth eight weeks ago.

The Power 1000 list is drawn from all sectors and walks of life including finance, theatre, technology and media, and aims to celebrate the top 1000 people that make London the world's creative and cultural powerhouse.

Sarah Sands, editor of London's Evening Standard newspaper, said: "London is a magnet for the rest of world and our newest power resident, Prince George, is a timely symbol. He is our greatest tourist attraction, along with his great grandmother, which is why he has been chosen this year as the first among Londoners."

Five members of the royal family made the Top 20, including the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth.

Many other new names shot into the Top 20 table, such as Cara Delevingne because of her domination of the catwalks at London Fashion Week and her huge social media following and One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles for his global fan base.

The Evening Standard revealed the full Power 1000 at a glittering party last night (19.09.13) at Battersea Power Station in London where Boris Johnson - who was crowned most influential last year - was the guest speaker.
