Belgium's King Philippe appears to have completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

A tweet on the official Belgium royal account suggests King Phillipe has completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

The monarch was challenged to have freezing cold water poured over his head to raise funds and awareness for nerve cell disease Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) by radio presenter Sven Ornelis and though footage of the king taking part hasn't yet surfaced, a tweet from the official royal account appears to suggest he has.

The page posted two pictures of buckets of water and thanked Sven and, in keeping with the tradition of the challenge, called out some new nominees to take part, the Yellow Tigers, Belgium's national female volleyball team, the women's hockey team the Red Panthers and the national football team.

A number of royals have been nominated for the challenge, including Holland's King Willem-Alexander and Britain's Queen Elizabeth, who has received two requests.

Her grandson Prince Harry has been nominated three times, by chef Jamie Oliver, actress Lindsay Lohan and singer Ellie Goulding.

And the 'Starry Eyed' hitmaker - who sang at his brother Prince William's wedding to Duchess Catherine - seems to think Harry is up to the task.

She tweeted: "So my manager isn't going to do the ice challenge (but [will] donate). So I renominate Prince Harry. Who told me with enough peer pressure...(sic)"
