Meghan Markle's former rented pad in Toronto was snapped up within a week.

Though the price it was purchased for is yet to be unveiled, the modest three-bedroom property, which the 36-year-old beauty lived in for the two years she spent filming Canadian cable series 'Suits', and which her fiancé Prince Harry stayed in, was worth around $1 million.

A listing for the property, which also has a two-car garage, a garden and basement, reads: "Turnkey From Top-To-Bottom. A Perfect Home For Entertaining (sic)"

Brokers Dolly and Jenny Lenz said it's because it was such a reasonable price that the home was sold so swiftly.

According to The New York Post, they said: "The home is aspirational. A million dollars is expensive, but . . . it's not like Beyonce's $88 million home in Bel Air."

Freeman Real Estate owner Daniel Freeman said the other major appeal is that the utilities would have been used by the British royal, who Meghan is engaged to marry in Spring next year.

He said: "It's a nice thought to think, 'Wow, Prince Harry used this toilet.'"

Meghan previously wrote a blog post about her humble abode and how she made it feel like home by giving it a Californian feel, so that the seven Canadian winters she experienced were less brutal.

Meghan, who quit her job in 'Suits' due to royal protocol, now lives with her the 33-year-old prince at Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace in London.

The pair are set to get married on May 19 next year.

The loved-up couple - who got engaged at the beginning of November - are to break royal tradition by getting hitched on the weekend, rather than a weekday like the rest of their family, at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle in Berkshire next spring.

Kensington Palace confirmed: "His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018. Today's announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle."
