Prince George

Britain's Prince George has been chosen as the nation's ideal child.

The 15-month-old son of Prince William and Duchess Catherine has received the highest vote in a new poll which saw Britons select their ultimate celebrity family, with David Beckham and Holly Willoughby named the most desired parents.

The survey, conducted to mark the release of heart-warming family comedy 'This Is Where I Leave You', which hits cinemas tomorrow (24.10.14), saw the nation name David's three-year-old daughter Harper Beckham and George as their top two choices for offspring.

David and Colin Firth both received 20 per cent of the vote for the role of father, while Dame Judi Dench (32 per cent) - who once portrayed Queen Victoria in 1997 film 'Mrs. Brown' - beat off competition from 'Great British Bake Off' star Mary Berry (17 per cent) for the role of grandmother.

If the family was ever a real one then it would be heavily influenced with soccer with former England captain David in the ranks.

What's more, Harper is known to enjoy playing football and George follows in father William's footsteps by supporting Premier League outfit Aston Villa.

The youngster received his first ever replica football kit from the Midlands-based club on the day he was born and it even had HRH - meaning His Royal Highness - and the number one emblazoned on the back.

While George is the top choice in the celebrity offspring category this year, it could be a different story in 2015 as his impending sibling may well replace him as the ultimate celebrity child.

The little one's mother Catherine is due to give birth to George's younger brother or sister in April, Kensington Palace recently confirmed.
