Prince Harry has revealed he intends to celebrate his 30th birthday with a beer

The Prince has been busy helping to organise the Invictus Games, which were staged in London last week, and he now plans to spend a little bit of time celebrating his landmark birthday with family and friends, starting with a beer.

Speaking over the weekend, he said: "On the birthday side of things, I'll be chuffed to bits when I'm having a beer with [war veteran] Dave Henson. We're really looking forward to being 30, both feeling quite old about it."

Harry also took the time to praise the competitors in the Invictus Games, saying: "Rest assured these guys are going to party on Sunday night and they deserve to."

Prior to the weekend, it had been speculated that the Prince was to stage a birthday party at Kensington Palace.

However, he is said to have cancelled the event when the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge fell ill with morning sickness.

And on Sunday evening (14.09.14), he was busy delivering a rousing speech at the closing ceremony of the games, which were widely considered to be a big success.
