The 32-year-old royal made a 100-mile round trip to pick up the 'Suits' actress from Kensington Palace in London so that she could attend the socialite's evening festivities in Berkshire on Saturday (20.05.17) but the pair were thought to be in for a shock when they looked at the seating plan to discover that they weren't sat together.

According to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Pippa - the sister of Duchess Catherine - and her new husband James Matthews had chosen not to put couples together while they were eating to ensure the guests got to mingle with different people.

it's not known for sure why the 35-year-old actress - who has been dating the prince since last year - wasn't invited to the wedding but it's thought she decided to stay away in order not to take the attention away from Pippa and James as it would have been the first official event she and Harry had attended together as a couple.

Meanwhile, although she wasn't able to attend the nuptials, Meghan no doubt got some ideas for her own wedding as Harry is expected to pop the question this year.

The flame-haired hunk is reportedly using emeralds from his late mother Princess Diana's tiara to create the perfect ring for when he gets down on one knee.

A source said: "Diana's jewellery collection was left in trust for the boys and Meghan apparently loves emeralds. For Harry, like Wills before him, using his mother's gems means the two loves of his life will forever be linked."

Harry is reportedly working on "something incredible" with jewellers, so that he can give Meghan "the same sentiment" that his brother William had when he proposed to his now-wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, using Diana's engagement ring.
