The 36-year-old actress stars as Rachel Zane in the US legal drama series - which she has quit since getting engaged to the 33-year-old royal - and her husband-to-be showed his grandparents some scenes from the series to educate them in what she did for a job.

A friend of Meghan in Los Angeles said: "Harry had been beaming for months about his blossoming romance when he went to see his grandparents.

"And as he explained his feelings and pride about Meghan, he wanted to show the queen just what Meghan did for a job.

"Some clips were played from YouTube for her although Her Majesty does not have time to binge watch the series from the start."

Displaying the footage for the queen and Philip is said to have helped Harry "show off" just how "successful" Meghan has been in her career.

The pal added to the Sunday Express newspaper: "Obviously he had spoken at length beforehand about all her charitable work and interest in causes that the pair shared.

"It was a very touching moment and a nice way for Harry to show off Meghan to them.

"The moment helped Harry to show his older family how successful his future wife had been in her career."

Meghan is expected to spend Christmas with the 91-year-old monarch and Philip, 96, this year at Sandringham House in Norfolk, England.

The newly-engaged couple are expected to attend the traditional morning service at St Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas Day (25.12.17).

Harry's brother Prince William, his wife Duchess Catherine and their two children, George, four, and Charlotte, two, are also set to join in with the festivities.
