The 32-year-old royal was on a visit to Nottingham, England, when he met Irene Hartman, who handed him a box of Nottingham Fudge and Haribo sweets, which he loves.

A delighted Harry asked: "How did you know I like them?" and Irene revealed his parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, had told her many years ago.

She said: "I met Prince Charles and Diana many years ago and I remember them saying he liked Haribo.

"I told Harry I knew from when he was a young boy and I told him, 'Your mum would have been proud of you.'

"He's a lovely man and he's just like his mum. He's doing things like she used to. He likes people and he likes to be involved."

Harry also visited a police station and stopped by the National Ice Centre, one of the partners of Coach Core, an apprenticeship Harry started with his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Duchess Catherine in 2012.

While there, he watched a training session for figure skaters.

According to the Kensington Palace Twitter feed, Harry then visited "youth project Full Effect to see the work it does with youngsters in Nottingham".
