Prince Harry

Prince Harry

Britain's Prince Harry is to embark on a tour of the Middle East later this month.

The 30-year-old prince will represent the royal family - including his grandmother Queen Elizabeth and father Prince Charles - during a mini-tour of the region in late November.

The flame-haired royal will fly to the Sultanate of Oman on November 18, where he will attend the National Day Parade as a guest of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said.

The celebration - which is held in honour of the Sultan's birthday - will take place across the country, including the capital city of Muscat, which was last visited by Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall in 2013, while the Queen made an appearance in 2010.

Following on from his meeting with the Sultan, Prince Harry will then travel to Abu Dhabi - the capital of the United Arab Emirates - where he will take part in the Sentebale Polo Cup at Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club.

The event has been organised to raise awareness and funds for vulnerable children in Lesotho - a landlocked country surrounded by South Africa - who are in need of health care and education.

Further details of Harry's visit are to be announced by Kensington Palace at a later date.
