Prince William

Britain's Prince William has put a stop to his singing career.

The 31-year-old royal performed 'Livin' On a Prayer' with Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift at a Kensington Palace charity gala on Tuesday (26.11.13), but he has decided to hang up his microphone before taking on the charts.

William made the announcement earlier today (29.11.13) when he met residents at St. Basils, a charity which works with young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming so, in Birmingham, central England.

Jean Templeton, Chief Executive of St Basils, jokingly said: "We could get some singing going?"

William started laughing and replied: "I'm not doing that again."

The Duke of Cambridge, who is a huge fan of Premier League soccer team Aston Villa, who are based in Aston, Birmingham, also made a speech at the centre, which is in Small Heath, less than one mile from the stadium of Villa's biggest rivals, Birmingham City, who are nicknamed the Blues.

And while speaking to the youngsters he joked that he had discussed with his private secretary Miguel Head about half of the city "hating" him because he is a Villa fan.

He said: "I said to Miguel in the car that the most difficult relationship today is BBC Birmingham and the question of Villa and the Blues. Half the city loves me and half the city hates me.

"Barry our police driver is a Blues fan and we've already had a debate about it this morning."
