The royals are teaming up with the BBC's DIY SOS team on 'The Big Build: Veteran's Special' and will join the builders and carpenters in Manchester to renovate a street of derelict houses into homes for ex-service personnel.

During the visit the brother will add finishing touches to flats and buildings and will work together with ex-servicemen and women, who are developing skills in a new trade post-war.

It's hoped that the scheme will help the men and women who have fought in war make a smooth transition to civilian life.

Walking With The Wounded and the Royal British Legion will also benefit and will be built their very own support centre on the street, that will be open to those who have been injured, mentally or physically, while in the Armed Forces.

Many of Britain's homeless people are war veterans and Prince William, 33 and 31-year-old Prince Harry's involvement in the project - in which eight buildings and a total of 62 homes for ex-military personnel will be built - will put the spotlight on finding a solution to the issue.
