Queen Elizabeth

The 90-year-old monarch was given a special mention by the publication and has been hailed a fashion "beacon".

Amy Fine Collins, a Vanity Fair corresponded said: "She has consistently represented who she is and what she stands for, without wavering from a standard she set a long time ago," "Politics, culture, and class structure in the empire - all of that shifts constantly, but she doesn't. She's a beacon."

Elizabeth beat off stiff competition from Dame Helen Mirren who topped the list.

Other female stars include Lily James

Prince Harry also made the male celebrity list along with Idris Elba, Eddie Redmayne, Joe Biden, Victor Cruz, Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark, Leslie Odom Jr.

The 31-year-old royal has also been crowned the world's hottest male royal.

The flame-haired hunk topped the list and beat off stiff competition from Sweden's Prince Carl Philip, 37, who came in second place.

The poll carried out by Crown Clinic, a hair loss treatment company, surveyed 1,000 women with many choosing Harry because he is "fun" and a great personality to represent the British royal family.

Queen Elizabeth's inclusion comes weeks after a selection of the style icon's outfits went on Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.

The exhibition, titled Fashioning a Reign: 90 Years of Style from The Queen's Wardrobe, featured the monarch's wares from several big occasions, including official portraits, family weddings and state visits.

The display was to mark the queen's 90th birthday year and the clothes on show at Buckingham Palace coincides with the building's State Rooms being open to the public this summer.

Elizabeth is known to be a big horse racing fan and some of the outfits featured include a riding jacket, jodhpurs and a riding hat made for her when she was known as Princess Elizabeth in 1947.
