Britain's Prince William's offer of an ice cream was snubbed by Tinie Tempah, as he didn't want to deprive the future king of the tasty treat.

The 'Pass Out' hitmaker - who met the 29-year-old royal and his wife Duchess Catherine backstage at the Radio 1's Big Weekend music event in Bangor, North Wales, earlier this year - explained he couldn't deprive the future king of a tasty treat.

He said: "His aide came out with a box of Soleros and there was only four in there but there were five of us in the room. William offered me one and I was like, 'No thanks'. I didn't want to deprive the future King of his Solero!"

However, the rapper - real name Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu - admitted while the royal couple were very well turned out, he was "sweaty" when he was introduced to them.

Speaking in extracts from his upcoming autobiography 'My Story So Far', published in The Sun newspaper, Tinie added: "William was really dressed down. Kate looked gorgeous in a nice dress. He put his hand on my shoulder and I cringed. I was so sweaty, like eurggh.

"He made a little joke about my trousers being so low, saying he thought they were going to fall off halfway through my performance and said he loves going to festivals but he goes incognito."

The star also revealed he introduced William and Catherine to 'Starry Eyed' hitmaker Ellie Goulding, who performed at the royal wedding reception on April 29.

Tinie said: "By the time Ellie Goulding came off stage from her set, we were still talking. Ellie put her arms out to give me a hug but I directed her towards William instead.

"I was like, 'You can't shake my hand before you shake his!'. She went so white."
