Zara Phillips lost her baby weight nine months after giving birth by pushing her daughter Mia around in her pram.

Phillips - the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth - gave birth to Mia, with whom she has with her husband Mike Tindall, nine months ago and has sprung back into shape thanks to her "weight training" sessions around the Gloucestershire countryside.

However, the blonde beauty, who qualified for the 2016 Olympics in Rio on her horse High Kingdom last week, admits she struggled to get her fitness level back.

Speaking to The Express newspaper: "There was a period where it was a little bit like working against yourself. I've never not ridden for that long and never not been that fit for that long either, so it was hard trying to get each muscle group to... remember what they used to do."

Zara also found it "quite frustrating" losing muscle whilst she was pregnant but believes you've just "got to accept it really."

Meanwhile, the stunning star is set to take part in a wheelchair rugby match at the Copper Box arena in London on September 12 as part of the Invictus Games for injured members of the armed forces.

She said last month: "It's important to get involved in the Invictus Games to use the power of sport to inspire recovery and support rehabilitation. I'm very excited to be involved."
