Lexi couldn’t contain her smile, finally, at 23 years old, her dreams were beginning to drop into place. Here she was at last, after all these auditions, on a 4 week run as lead dancer in a new London West End show. This was her chance and the added bonus of a month in the capital added to her joy.

But Lexi was nervous, scared even, she had been lodged in a beautiful flat, a surprise after some of the grotty dives she had previously had to stay in, even so it lacked any homely touches.

That would soon be rectified as Lexi settled in by placing a couple of photos of James and their wedding which had been just two months earlier, then she added a couple of the dog and her best friend, Pheobe. Pheobe had also managed to get a place with the dance group. Lexi hadn't seen her friend since before the wedding and was really looking forward to seeing her tomorrow.

Tomorrow was the first dress rehearsal run through. Where it all began. Lexi really felt the pressure and the jangle of mixed emotions the more she thought about it, and all of her efforts to read and relax were useless. There was only one thing to do at such a time... practice. Grabbing her bag with her practice gear in, she head out and made her way to the studio she’d been given keys to. She would be alone, and able to focus. Perfect. On the way there she wished James had come with her. He always knew just how to calm her, and there was something about fear that made Lexi surprisingly horny. An odd reaction really, she’d always thought, but James would have appreciated it.

At the studio Lexi went through her warm up routine, it did the trick as her muscles relax a little. Then she listened through the whole score, which was already firmly embedded in her memory. Imagining the moves, the steps as she went through. It was mostly modern, fast, high energy dancing. Nothing like the ballet she’d done as a child, these dances where sexy, and really fun. They would pass as MTV material. As she began practicing, time vanished for her, she got lost in her training, and the morning soon became afternoon., without her even noticing.

The sreech from the the door sweeping open broke Lexi's concentration as in walked Pheobe.

"Hell girl, there you are! I’ve been looking everywhere!"

Lexi realised that she had no idea how long she’d been there. "God- sorry. Got a bit caught up in it all. What time is it?"

"Only about 5.30- but, I got here hours ago. You’re the only person I know here in London, and you go missing in action." She was joking now, just relieved to have found Lexi.

"Sorry- I’m totally freaking out though."

Pheobe gave her a hug, and tried to calm her "Don’t be daft." She could tell she’d already been working out for some while. "You’re being a stress-head."

Lexi loved the way Pheobe could always tell her that. They had met when Lexi had joined dance college, and she’d been a nervous wreck at the time. The two became friends almost immediately, and Pheobe helped Lexi through the entire nightmare.

"You shouldn’t over do this you know- you’ll burn out. It’s a 4 week run."

"I know- I just want tomorrow to be perfect."

"It will be. You’re already perfect, and you know it."

Lexi always tried to hide how much she loved to hear that from Pheobe. Her relationship with Pheobe had been through some changes recently. At her wedding party, Pheobe had drunk way too much, and no surprise at a dancer’s wedding there had been a lot of dancing. But when Pheobe and Lexi danced together, everyone stopped and watched. Lexi had only partially realised, but returning to her husband James, she’d found him with a raging erection.

A couple of weeks later, they finally got round to watching the video of the party, and Lexi began to understand. The eyes of everyone there had been locked on the pair. Being attractive young dancers, with a penchant for sexier, more vibrant dance styles was one thing, but above that, there was a certain energy, a spark between them. Lexi was truly surprised to see the effect that their dancing had had on everyone, and seeing it again, the effect that it had on her. On both her and James, in fact. It was breathtakingly arousing, seeing their bodies sway and interplay with each other really did have a certain magic to it. After only a few minutes of the video, James was stroking her, clearly showing his arousal, and it was only moments before James and her were having one of their most charged and passionate sex sessions in years. Lexi was so aroused and excited, seeing how great they looked together, how everyone has stopped and stared. The whole time as James fitted between her legs, her eyes just couldn’t keep away from the screen. It had all created brand new feelings in Lexi but she tried unsuccessfully to ignore.

But here in the dance studio, Pheobe was back to being a sober and kind friend like any other. But something had changed, while Pheobe held her, albeit briefly, the memories of that wedding dance leapt back into her mind. In honesty, it was a memory that had never left her. She’d also spent the entire time turning over the conversations they’d had. Pheobe made it clear she had no boyfriends, no wish to marry, and showed little regard for men. Drunkenly, Pheobe had even told her straight out that she preferred the company of women. It had sounded like a joke and impossible to know if it could be taken seriouslythough Lexi strongly suspected that Pheobe was bi-sexual, if not lesbian. Secretly Lexi wanted it to be true, though she would never have admitted it. Not even really to herself. The idea had a tantalising attraction to her though, and she just couldn’t escape it.
