Editorial Reviews: Amazon.co.uk Review While investigating the mysterious circumstances of a beautiful student's demise, a maverick skydiving instructor finds himself entangled in a murderous conspiracy involving Soviet spies and a lost shipment of gold. Logical it ain't, but this entertainingly daft thriller does offer some good-natured satiric riffs on standard action star conventions. Charlie Sheen (throughout most of the film, this not-especially-heroic hero displays the approximate intelligence of a bag of doorknobs) stars along with Nastassja Kinski in a welcome return after a long absence from the screen. iTerminal Velocity/i is good fun for adrenaline junkies, with a boffo climax involving a midair escape attempt from a free-falling convertible. Writer David Twohy went on to direct Sheen in the considerably more accomplished IThe Arrival/I. I--Andrew Wright/I

Customer Reviews: charlie sheen as a sky-diving instructor May 25, 2000 4 out of 5 found this review helpful `No-brainer action movie` is a phrase that could have been invented for this movie with Charlie Sheen as Ditch Brodie (!) a sky-diving instructor who...whatever. This is like a Van Damme movie without the kick-boxing, or a Seagal movie without the--whatever it is Seagal does. There isn`t really much hand-to-hand combat and Sheen just seem to be a sleepwalker watching the goings on with a detached smirk. This is basically a comedy done dead straight..Kinski takes it seriously which makes their scenes together hilarious. You will laugh out loud when Sheen flies through the air trying to get something or other out of a sports car--falling miles above the earth. Harold Lloyd eat your heart out. Sheen just seems to get the scripts Bruce Willis rejects and then he rejects it too but still acts in it. An odd piece that wants to be a combination of Die Hard, James Bond, Indiana Jones and Hot Shots at the same time. Donn get me wrong I like this movie very much as an action/thriller/comedy. This film is interesting, because it has a great score, beautiful locations and very good actors. Many people dislikes Charlie Sheen, but I cant understand why, hell the man is good.
