Amazon.co.uk Review If you're going to submit yourself to a dazzling example of mainstream action, this thriller is as good a choice as any. iEraser/i is a live-action cartoon, the kind of movie in which Arnold Schwarzenegger can survive nail bombs, hails of bullets, an attack by voracious alligators ("You're luggage," he says, after killing one of the beasts), and still emerge from the mayhem relatively intact. Arnold plays an "eraser" from the Federal Witness Protection Program, so named because he can virtually erase the existence of anyone he's been assigned to protect. His latest beneficiary is an FBI employee (Vanessa Williams) who stumbled across a secret government group involved in the sale and export of an advanced weapon capable of shooting rounds at nearly the speed of light. Fantastic action sequences are handled with flair by director Charles Russell (iThe Mask/i), so it's easy to forgive the fact that this movie is almost completely ridiculous. i--Jeff Shannon/i

Why cut June 16, 2005 England (Southampton, England) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have not seen the R1 version of this film, but I do not understand why the version released in England has to be cut as the previous viewer says this one is. I noticed that Commando, another great Arnie film, has been cut. The scene on the plane where Col. John Matrix (Arnie) breaks his minders neck is cut and yet is included when shown on tv.Ridiculous! Perhaps its because the studio wants to sell to kids. If thats the case then why not release 2 versions, a 15and an 18?
"You have been Erased" April 7, 2005 laura (england) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I think i enjoyed this film for all the wrongs reasons, i would give it 5 star rating for making me howl with laughter throughtout, the script was ingenious with phrases like "you have been erased"in which u were just waiting for throughout and "he just caught a train" when arnie traps his enemies on a train line and saves the day!no one else could play this character better than the king of action heros arnie!classic film check random plot check out those laser guns that can see through everything!best scene when they are fighting ontop of a freight box in the sky classic action film must see!
ARNOLD in another great film November 23, 2003 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not Arnies best film but still better than most films that exist. An action classic. Arnie is the best action actor there is. Eraser is an action packed classic one of the best films ever but still not he's best film. Always in the shadow of Terminator 2, but still a great film. Buy it.
Superb action movie April 15, 2002 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Another fabulous Arnie movie with great action and special effects. The EM guns used in it were well scary but very cool. Shame the physics of them are completely impossible but you can't have everything. Other than the far fetchedness, it was an original plot that I found thoroughly enjoyable as Arnie plays a special agent assigned to the winess protection program and as it's name suggests, he erases peoples identities. Some great humour and typical Arnie one liners. The only niggle I have is that the scene when they visit the first witness who's cover has supposedly been blown has been so badly cut at one point it is obvious even to someone who didn't see this at the cinema. Why or why do they keep doing this and ruining a superb movie.
This film is great.......the guns are sexy. October 13, 2000 patoneill@claranet.com (Eastleigh, United Kindom) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
you've just been Erazed says Arnie, you should really buy this, it's got cool big guns and a cool big super star. The nail bomb/grenade bit is worth the price alone.
