5 out of 5 stars texan gold   September 10, 2004

Rock n' roll, texas style... that's what the Top were all about, and it's reflected in this value for money collection of promo videos. Eliminator and Afterburner were the two albums which lit a fire under these boys here, although many fine albums had come before, but in the true spirit of the MTV generation, the tracks with the good videos were the ones everyone remembers. Gimme All Your Lovin is pure 1985, Rough Boy has been copied many times since but never bettered, Velcro Fly was banned in the the US as being too suggestive, but I guarantee after a couple of beers you will be tryin to learn the moves... it's all good tongue in cheek fun, and the sound quality is excellent. Rock n Roll n Brew... Good Ole Boys rockin out for your enjoyment.

For all the fans of ZZTop, this is a great compilation of all the classic videos. The quality isn't the best there is, but the dvd is worth it and you'll enjoy it.

This is the best rock and roll video that has ever been produced. It has the sex, rock and roll, with the great car (as well). All men need and want!

3 out of 5 stars ZZ Tops Greatest Hits DVD   November 2, 2009

well obviously if you like ZZ Top you are going to enjoy this dvd,i am an "Occasional" fan,i liked their big hits, which are all here and it's great to see again!. The only drawback to this dvd is that there is no chapter review, which is a pain because you have to skip all through the videos to find the one's you want to see.Best watched in surround sound, really loud when the neighbours and family are out (air Guitar is a must !!).

3 out of 5 stars Ogger's review   December 5, 2007

"Last night I saw a naked cowgirl, she was floating across the ceiling." br / br /However silly most lyrics by that little ol' band from Texas may be, it's really their up-tempo boogie vibe that makes ZZ Top the success that they were at the time of this collection's release. br /Although their blues roots from the preceding decade had been almost derailed by the arrival of that behemoth commonly known as M-TV, its influence remains present, even if slighly distorted by the adolescent fantasy visuals (those directed by Tim Newman, in particular) of the promo videos: chopped cars, luscious babes, cool shades, loud guitars, and justice for the underdog with the aid of a "magical keyring" are the order of the day... tacky, trashy, cheesy, redneck, childish, unsophisticated - yet all-out fun (if you have the balls to admit it). br / br /But, not all is typically tastelessly American: that stylish video with the space car wash features an incredible guitar solo that is, simply put, out of this world and just not darn long enough! br /It's hardly surprising then that "Rough Boy" and "Stages" (both off the "Afterburner" album) always make me crank the volume, whilst the video for "Give It Up" is without a doubt the most stylish and clever of the lot. br / br /Footnote: The video for "Sleeping Bag" features one Heather Langenkamp, fresh out of "A Nightmare On Elm Street".
