Best romance film of the year November 18, 2000 sarahknowlson@hotmail.com (United Kingdom) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I saw this film in the cinema and thought it was great. A bit slow to start but once it gets underway you really get to know the characters of Warren Justice (Robert Redford) and Tally Atwater.pStory about a young ambitious would be journalist who just wants to be a star and her struggle for acceptance as an equal in a well established news team.pIf you are looking for action, look elsewhere but it is a great tearjerker, sunday afternoon with a pot of ice cream type movie. Enjoy!
Pfeiffer shines again June 24, 2007 Jay (Mauritius) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Even though I feel Robert Redford is getting a bit old to play the romantic hero, I did enjoy this movie. I liked the newsroom setting. I felt Michelle Pfeiffer gave a very good performance and that she and Mr. Redford had a very likeable chemistry. I didn't care for the ending, but it was good viewing on the whole. A good love story.
Fantastic! March 11, 2006 RozziD (Lincoln, England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This has to be one of my favourite movies. Robert Redford and Michelle Pfiffer at their best. I watch this film over and over and end up in tears every time. If you like a film with a good storyline and a weepy ending - go for this one
Amazing June 10, 2003 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
This film is absolutely superb. I must have seen it at least 50 times and I still sob my way through it now. Even telling someone about the story makes me well up. Highly recommended !!!
Another Robert Redford February 25, 2009 U. Naidoo (Manchester/UK) Great romance. I can watch it over and over but then as I said I am a sucker for Robert Redford.
