If you want to see Anna Nichole kick butt as a mean and moody badass out to get revenge for the death of her husband-to-be on their wedding day, then this is the film for you. There's an action sequence roughly every 3 minutes, usually ending with Ms Smith blowing numerous bad guys away and generally kicking their asses with some high powered weaponry. The action tends to play out like a more violent version of The A Team, people fly around, bullets rarely hit anyone except the bad guys, Anna loses some more of her clothes (surprising, huh?), cars flip over, nobody can act..... this is a movie that's so bad it's great. It's better than Anna's other oddball action romp Skyscraper (worth seeking out as Anna plays a female Bruce Willis style chopper pilot taking on bad guys in a hijacked skyscraper) but only because it's so relentless - the violence only pauses long enough for Anna to indulge herself in a couple of soft focus softcore sex or bathtime scenes, showing everyone that there's more to her than just brains(!).brThis movie should be on the curriculum at film school just to teach the students that it's possible to throw bad acting, OTT lame violence, lots of guns, gratuitous nudity and then some more bad acting into a pot and come up with a masterpiece of straight to video nonsense. You really wouldn't believe how bad, yet how mindbogglingly good this movie is.pThe DVD itself, is a basic no-thrills affair. The video's a fair looking fullscreen (shot for straight-to-vid release) with functional audio. Nothing spectacular, but then when you've got someone as pneumatic, and frequently nude, as Anna Nichole Smith you don't really need anything else.pOh yeah, Frank Stallone makes an appearance too. But that's no recommendation.
Oh dear....this one's really bad! March 14, 2004 Jared (U.K) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Okay, this film is terrible, and I mean really really terrible. Now I know what a lot of you are thinking "yeah yeah, I don't care if the film's bad as long as I get to see Anna naked." To all of you out there for which this applies please heed this warning: this is not a good film even for you guys! I am one of those guys! Even with just the one movie requirement of seeing Anna in some sex scenes the film still disappoints. First off there are about two sex scenes, which is the whole purpose of buying this excuse of a film anyway. Secondly the scenes themselves are so bad and un-erotic they look like an advert for celibacy. They're really dire with soul scarring music to top it all off. You may find yourself laughing at some of the sex because it's shot in that silly, slow-mo style way a lot of spoofs are shot in when they poke fun at serious sex scenes. The best of the action can be seen by looking on the back of the video box. Trust me don't waste your money with this. If it's just Anna you want from this film you're better off checking out her site on the net. pThis film tries to be far, far, far too serious than is within its capabilities. One fairly fundamental issue is that Anna Nicole-Smith can't act. Always a problem when trying to make a film in which you're one of the lead characters. Now I must be fair, and this is not the first film to lack an Oscar winning cast, so the film makers seem to have overlooked this fact in favour of Anna's looks rather than her acting ability. Fine by me, except that we don't see Anna anywhere near enough to save this monstrosity from oblivion. Three-quarters of the time we are allowed to see her she is in combat mode dressed in Special Forces combat gear and the like, she looks very unconvincing in it and not at all how 99.9% of viewers want to see her. In br'To the Limit' Anna is also actually required to convey emotion, like sadness, crying and grief. All the emotions you tend to feel whilst watching. These meaningful scenes don't suit Anna well at all. She is much more at home in comedies like in her best role as a nurse in 'Naked Gun 3'. The plot has Anna playing a specially trained spy. Anna being the most conspicuous of people at the best of times doesn't pull this off very well. There's some monkey business with a disk and some government people beating up some other guy or something. Newsflash: we don't care about plot, where's Anna? One of the sex scenes even has her making love with an older guy. Not, by the way, unrealistic but quite unsatisfying for the viewer. pAll in all this film has succeeded in disappointing in every department for almost every category of viewer. It's plugged as an erotic action film but turns too serious once underway, and tries to be a serious film from then on in. It ends up failing to deliver on all levels as a result. The best thing this film had going for it was Anna Nicole Smith, and she wasn't used enough. And even when she was used her scenes were generally poor. It's a shame because I wanted to like this for what it could have been. A cheesy action, with Anna spicing things up along the way. Instead I got ridiculous action, poor acting and five minutes of Anna. It may excite a 14 year old boy who's never seen boobs before but other than that you're out of luck with this one!
