An excellent unmissable DVD October 11, 2001 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
This is probably the best comedy to ever come out of Britain in the last 10 years, Coogan is exceptional - all his characters have something to offer, his talent in these shows rates him up with the best.pIf you fancy a night in then this DVD will keep you glued to your TV, do yourself a favour buy this DVD if only to see what your missing
a complete dvd of pure genius January 20, 2001 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
What a total classic, this film is Steve Coogan at his best. There is no doubt; this dvd proves Steve Coogan should be better appreciated. Even if you have never seen his material before, you will find him hilarious. If you want to add some decent comedy to your dvd collection this is it with the bonus material not on the video making this dvd a top buy.

This was a Cougan classic, the phenomenon that is Cougan really blazes through in this, I think what he was trying to do with this, was project his alter-ego in an almost deformed way toward the audience, you can almost grope the passion.pI dont' think I'm giving anything away by pointing out his titillating perfomance as the Safety inspector moved me on an emotional scale which can only be compared to D'ante in the East end play D'ante Petunia
Steve Coogan is Hillarious!!!! October 4, 2004 2 out of 24 found this review helpful
Although not as well known as Dana Carvey or Sacha Baron Cohen (the guy who does Ali G, Borat, and Bruno) Steve Coogan stands out on his own as all of his characters are hysterical and his supporting cast is also excellent. Too bad he did not bring this show Stateside.
The man who really is it. September 16, 2007 S. Knight (Wirral) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Two live shows on one disc,'the man who thinks he's it' recorded live at The Palace Theatre in Manchester and 'live 'n' lewd' performed live at London's Lyceum theatre.
br /All his favourite characters appear,Alan Partridge,Paul and Pauline Calf,Tony Ferrino,Ernest Moss and the irritating Duncan Thicket, plus glimpses of Steve backstage.
br /This really is laugh a minute comedy with Paul 'i hate students' Calf and sister Pauline stealing the show during nearly three hours worth of material.
br /Fans of Steve Coogan will love this and i am so glad i decided to add this to my collection,it was the best night out i've had in years.
