Amazon.co.uk Review Take Hollywood romantic comedy at its fluffiest, stir in a few Farrelly Brothers-style bodily-function jokes, season with pratfalls, add a Isoupcon/I of Hitchcock and you've got IHead Over Heels/I, the perfect way to while away 85 minutes without putting the least strain on your brain cells. Our heroine, Amanda, is a shy retiring young lady with a dusty museum job and a non-existent love-life. (She's played by the dishy blonde Monica Potter, which gives you a fair idea of this movie's grip on reality). Having moved into a palatial Manhattan apartment (yeah, right) shared with four wannabe supermodels she meets--via a randy Great Dane--the handsome guy from across the courtyard. But it seems he has a deep, dark secret in his life.p Mark Waters' film gets a lot of mileage out of poking fun at the bubble-headed attitudes of the model girls, which might well provoke mutterings about pots and kettles in more censorious quarters. But the whole confection's so innocuous and eager to please that it's hard to stay as irritated with it as it deserves. Potter (or occasionally her body double) executes her pratfalls gamely, her flatmates pose elegantly, and Mr Maybe-Right Freddie Prinze Jr grins boyishly--even if his subsequent metamorphosis into an action hero takes a bit of swallowing. Waters' direction keeps things moving briskly enough to prevent us musing on the idiocy of the whole enterprise. The insert inside the box suggests that "if you enjoyed this title" you should try ITaxi Driver/I or IBeing John Malkovich/I. Could someone at Columbia TriStar be having a little joke? p BOn the DVD:/B not much to mention. There's a trailer, brief cast and director biogs, production notes and a 12-minute shooting-of featurette in which, as usual, everybody was just wonderful and they all adored each other from the get-go. Anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1) and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound ensure a suitably glossy presentation. --IPhilip Kemp/I

Great fun, feel good film May 15, 2002 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is definitely a perfect film for a Girl's Night In. Freddie Prinze Jnr plays the handsome man of Monica Potter's dreams, which is proven by her weak knees whenever they meet. This is not a taxing or complicated film that you have to concentrate on, it is sheer fun and works to best effect if you don't think about it too hard - some of the story is maybe just a bit unrealistic! But if you're feeling loved-up or even if you haven't yet found Mr Right, then this is the film for you.
Fantastic! March 5, 2003 Miss E Connor (Kent, England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This film proved to be the greatest chick-flick I've ever seen. To call it a comedy is a huge understatement - it had me laughing for weeks afterwards! The characters are fantastic, putting their all into the film. The story line keeps you on your toes, and the content is hilarious. its a must-see movie - and Freddie-P.J really works in this! Its a brilliant film and all you girls out there really should watch it. You'll never look at life in the same way ever again!
Addictive, laugh out loud romantic comedy May 14, 2002 flossieg@hotmail.com (England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It is one of the best films I have seen in a long time. Freddie Prinze Jr. is dashing and charming, and Monica Potter plays a part that most of us can indentify with, she is real and down to earth. It is a film for anyone who believes in true love. If you are feeling down and need a laugh then this is film to watch, it is lighthearted and funny, and you can't resist smiling throughout.
An amazing teen movie August 29, 2002 5 out of 9 found this review helpful

a whole lot of fun for anyone who is light hearted February 28, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
it may not be oscar worthy but every time i watch this film i'm reminded that life doesn't need to be taken so seriously. it's about love and fate and all those things we would be made to believe don't exist in the modern world plus there are diamonds and lots of pretty dresses and good tips on spying on cute guys. what could possibly be wrong with that.
