5 out of 5 stars Great Film, but nobody's seen it!   August 28, 2003

2 Days in the Valley is a brilliant film. Fast-paced, with action, murder, romance and black humour, there is nothing that this film doesn't have. James Spader plays assassin Lee, who is (in my opinion) the best character in the film. The musical score adds to the build-up of tension and suspense in the film. There are many humorous moments (involving dogs) but i'll say no more. brYou may not have heard about this film, but it's BRILLIANT! Go and buy it, rent it, or tape it off of the television, I don't care which. This film should not be missed!

It#8217;s true, nobody has seen this film. I used to see it at my local video store all the time but never rented it #8216;cos the cover put me off, I thought it was some sort of Basic Instinct type rubbish. Then I saw it on TV and boy was I wrong!brMany twists and turns this is great to watch with your mates, I showed it to mine and they loved it! brSome genuinely humorous moments as well as sad ones, what I enjoyed most about this movie is it starts off with a few unrelated characters who all become connected at the end, similar then to films such as #8216;Magnolia#8217; and #8216;Go#8217;. And there#8217;s a great b**ch fight!brIf you like this I also recommend the fantastic Red Rock West, another film which not many people have seen!

4 out of 5 stars Superb movie   July 4, 2000

From the very start as you are introduced to each character... you start to hope that this movie doesn't dissapoint.... and it doesn't. I read another review on this movie... which compared it to a poor mans Pulp Fiction,... two completely different movies. Is Pulp Fiction better? maybe... but is The Dear Hunter better than Pulp Fiction? we could go on forever. Maybe I am a bit biased because I am a great fan of James Spader... but if you want to watch a movie that's different, original... and funny... you gotta watch this one.

3 out of 5 stars This is not Pulp Fictions little brother!   October 13, 2003

Yes, in some ways this is like Pulp Fiction. It is similar because there are several stories running independently that will meet at some point in the film. But that is where the similarity ends. Pulp Fiction is violent and dark with slick one-liners but 'Two Days In The Valley' is more laid back and far funnier, so this means comparing them as more or less the same film (which one reviewer has done) would be unfair.brGranted, Pulp Fiction does what it tries to do better than 2 Days.... but it is still a good effort with excellent performances from all the cast.pRATING: 3.5 STARS ***

2 out of 5 stars Over hyped.   September 10, 2005

This is not a bad film, but it's no classic either. It has some funny moments but overall it's a bit to predictable. I'm quite a fan of films where numerous characters each with their own motives end up crossing paths along the way with the others. This does happen in this but once it does that's it, only really happens once. It reminded me of a similar film I saw years ago and forgot the name of, which is much better and I thought this might be it.....but sadly not. Worth a look and stars the lovely Terri Hatcher and Charlize Theron. I just feel the plot could have been better.
