5 out of 5 stars A beautiful love story   June 12, 2006

For some reason Sharon Stone is not recognised as an actress of quality I do not know why that is. In this film Sharon Stone is brilliant as is Rob Morrow. Jail is the strangest place to find love. Cindy Liggett, a woman convicted for a vicious and brutal double murder has waited twelve years to die. The world has never given her anything and she really just wants to get it over with. Then she meets new recruit attorney Rick Hayes (Rob Morrow) who is assingned to her case. Sharon Stone and Rob Morrow do not say anything to tell the audience that they have fallen in love, but it is there from their first meeting. If that is not great acting, I do not know what is. The film has a great supporting cast who show each in their character the humanity and the deep hate that the act of murder creates. This is a wonderful story gently told, a story of love, friendship and bravery. In the battlefield of the world stage, they say goodbye with their eyes, quite quite amazing. br /

5 out of 5 stars Sharon Stone at her best   November 9, 2000

Sharon Stone is Cindy Liggett, a woman convicted for double murder and after twelve years of waiting Cindy is prepared to die. As a last attempt to save her life, new recruit attorney Rick Hayes (Rob Morrow) is assingned to her case. In a race to save her life Rick and Cindy form a relationship which makes the distant Cindy realise what love is and maybe Rick is the reason to stay alive. A story of love, friendship and bravery. But how can you let go of someone you love? Sometimes, justice is a crime.
