1 out of 5 stars See it on pain of boredom...   April 11, 2002

Being a cinema projectionist, my job is to preview any new films that are due for imminent release. Sorcerer's Apprentice was such a film. pThe story tells of a family who emmigrate from South Africa to the English countryside, and lo! They happen to move in next door to Merlin the Magician, and then the plot moves along with some reference to a staff and Kelly Le Brock trying to get it and being quite nasty.pBeing a kid's film, maybe I'm not the right person accurately judge, but most films, especially family orientated films, are meant to entertain. This one doesn't. In fact, it's possibly the most un-entertaining 100 minutes I've had at work. pIt's just so boring! After 15 minutes, I wanted to leave the auditorium, so imagine how your children react. If you want a film about a young child who learns some magic, go buy Harry Potter instead.
