5 out of 5 stars THE ONLY rock VHS tape you'll ever need!   June 21, 2001

Tape 2 has been responsible for blowing four of my 12 base drivers over the two years I've owned this collection.Bowie Mott the Hoople put on a great show, George Michael is at his best followed by Elton John who even with Axel Rose's help in Rhapsody proves that no one can match Freddie's vocal range.Well worth the £s. Connect to your Hi-Fi stand well back!

5 out of 5 stars Great farewell to a great rockstar   May 20, 2002

Finally it is out. We had to wait ten years for this fabulous concert to come out on DVD, but it was worth waiting for. Those of us who are old enough to remember the actual screening will be happy to relive the moments that actually made it magic - George Michael's "Somebody to Love" and Elton Johns and Axl Rose's "Bohemian Rhapsody" with an additional recording fitted in by Freddie himself. The DVD set contains the second half of the concert where teh remaining Queen members perform the hits with special guest stars as well as a documentary DVD about the concert and some additional bonus material. Definitely worth buying !!!

5 out of 5 stars A beautiful tribute!   May 24, 2002
10 out of 13 found this review helpful

I was there with 75 000 in the audience, over 500 million watching in 72 countries. And this show proves the enduring quality of Queen and Freddies music. But also how difficult it was for other stars to match Freddies voice.pThe highligts is:brGeorge Michael - Somebody To LovebrGeorge and Lisa Stansfield - These are the days of our lives.brBowie and Annie Lennox - Under PressurebrAnd it was fun watching Elton John and Axl Rosebrtogether in Bohemian Rhapsody.pEven though Liza Minnellis voice is good, but We are the champions would have been better with the cast sharing the lead.brBut it gave me goosebumps when Brian introduce her and Freddie would have been proud.pThis DVD is worth every penny and is a beautiful tribute to Freddie.pBut I miss the wonderful Queen medley from Extreme. But on the other hand, it is captured on the double VHS release.pBuy it if you like Queen and Freddie, they were (and still is) one of ther greatest artists of all time. And the vibe and emotion is captured here from the artists.

5 out of 5 stars IT'S ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!   October 4, 2001

This Video is Absolutely Brilliant, It is the best concert I have ever seen on video, It kicks off with three METALLICA performances (Sandman, Sad But True and Matters) to the ultimate performance of WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS where EVERY Performer that was at Wembley Stadium that night performed to one of the most popular Queen songs, It is worth the money that you would pay for it! It Is CLASS!

5 out of 5 stars Second Queen DVD !   August 18, 2002

First you have the "We Will Rock You" DVD and now "The Freddie Mercury Tribute" DVD. Now hoping the next one would be "Live at Wembley" Because every Queen-Fan would like a concert of Queen on DVD.pIt's too bad, only the second part of the show is on it, cause the first part was (as you can read in other reviews) also very good. But the most important part is on it and that's what you're buying it for! pA great feature is the rehearsals in Bray-Studios. There are three songs on the DVD which are: "Under Pressure", "These Are the Days" and "Somebody to Love". Great stuff !!!
