| Customer Reviews: This film is so bad it's awesome!!! June 15, 2008 M. Dommett (London, UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Quite simply the best "so bad it's good" film ever!
br /
br /Billy Zane is a legend for this, he oozes cool in a way noone else can.
br /
br /"I'll buy you some DVD's" this quote is from the ultimate so pants it's funny moments. If you have seen it you know what i mean.
br /
br /The bit when he just throws everyone back with a little thrash of the hand is hilarious too. Shockingly awful martial arts but great because of this.
br /
br /Those who gave it one star do not appreciate the existence of these films, they beat any mediocre, run of the mill 3 stars any day. This is classic, if you take it seriously then you are going to have a bad time but if you view in an ironic, sarcastic, laid back way then it is great.

br /Don't miss it.
do NOT believe the blurb on the box!!! November 14, 2003 David Paul Jebb (Madrid, Spain) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
there are very few films that I feel are truly terrible, but this is one of them. It never lives up to the expectations that are set up in the opening sequence. It promises to be a high fantasy martial arts movie ("the Matrix meets X-Men" it says on the back of the DVD box). There is far too much dialogue for a start and the exposition is clumsily delivered by hammy Zane who should have learned his lesson after the similarly bad Phantom. The relationships between the main characters never really gel and as a result when one of their number dies, their grief is unbelievable. pThe martial arts is minimum and it is like watching a tae bo video when we do actually get to see some. All in all, this is very much like a pilot for a show that TV execs could see was a massive turkey from miles away! It should be avoided at all costs and Billy Zane should take warning- another couple of films like this and he'll be taking orders for burgers at a drive-in near you, that's all I'm saying!
Please take my advice. February 4, 2003 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
It is very rare that I truly can't stand a film. I usually manage to find something good in even the worst films, but please don't buy/watch this, it is awful. There is little plot, the acting isn't atrocious but any effort falls flat due to woeful material, 'stunts' look ridiculous and top hollywood names should know better (but when they are present only as executive producers, then that should start alarm bells). I honestly didn't want not to like this, but is impossible not to. Please don't encourage dross like this to be produced in future.
Dreadfully Dreadfull August 8, 2004 Craig Walker 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had a high hope for this film when saw the trailer...but as like most movie trailers, they show u the best bits ,and leave the rest for u to decide.pWhenever a film that goes straight to video has the captions "from exec producers "famous name" ", u cant help but feel that maybe there is something in this film, why did mel gibson and jet li become exec producers of this movie? they maybe seen a small earner from this pic.pThe film starts of pretty stylish with zane's character doing battle with the white angel character, a few cool stunts, nothing special.brAfter this the movie introduces you to the other four main characters, again its stylishly done, however after we see the 4 main characters story...billy zane takes us on a long dreary martial arts story to no where. Problem is, theres too much character building going on and not enough martial arts.brThe film lacks any real direction, the story is extremely poor, and as for the characters, u couldnt care what happens to them.brEveryone is a nobody in this film, i only know zane and one of the 4 enemies who was in the mansion hallway fight scene in the matrix reloaded.brHad mel gibson and jet li actually took a proper interest in this movie they could of pulled of something better, but it seems that this film was merely a setup for hitting a spin off tv series, which didnt seem to happen.brForget this movie at all costs.....as for billy zane....jeezo ur career should be over after this one.
One of The WORST films I've Seen September 23, 2007 Peter Miser (Here And There) Serriously this was one of the worst films I've ever seen. Trust me on this one it is horrible. DO NOT EVER buy this one, unless you want to see for yourself how terrible it truely is. I would not even waste a penny on this movie.
