Amazon.co.uk Review Although Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant display little on-screen romantic chemistry in ITwo Weeks Notice/I, by having them do what they do best the film manages to work around the missing key ingredient. Bullock is on top form as a bumbling but clever woman who is left ashore by her eco-warrior boyfriend and begins to work (against her better judgement) for Grant, the well-spoken and charming yet inept public face of a multi-million-pound building empire. Although sparks conspicuously fail to fly between them, the two make for genial pals and, as a result, the fact that little romance is evident until the end is actually a bonus. p It would be easy to dismiss this as just another Hollywood star vehicle, a formulaic rom-com that could have been produced anytime in the last 50 years or so. But it is impossible to deny that, although offering nothing new, the script does at least work well. In casting the stars exactly to type, making no social comment and leaving the audience happily gorged on feel-good vibes by the end, if nothing else ITwo Weeks Notice/I at least offers universal appeal. --INikki Disney/I

Appeals even to me..!! July 21, 2003 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
As someone who's never been a fan of the romantic comedies, four weddings and a funeral, Bridget Jones..you get the gist, I was suprised at how much I enjoyed this film, especially as it was a "what shall we do today" choice of the pictures. I've always been a fan of Sandra Bullock, from Demolition Man right through to Miss Congeniality, another romantic comedy which again was brought through by Bullock's talents. However I've never been a fan of Hugh Grant, or any of his romcoms, yet, from the brilliance of supporting actors and some one like Sandra Bullock to bounce off, I found him suprisingly good and watchable. This is the delight of the film. It's not trying to be Romeo Juliet or Anthony Cleopatra, just a simple tale of how opposites attract without being droll and serious. And as someone who can watch nonsense action flicks again and again, something as funny and appealing as Two Weeks Notice makes a nice and thoroughly enjoyable change....!!
Two truly amazing weeks!!! September 8, 2003 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Another brilliant chick-flick movie!! what more could a girl ask for in a film Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock together!! Both play a brilliant part in the film, you can see the chemistry between them on screen. Finally when they get it together, ahh i was soooo happy i could of cried!! A must see ladies, even if its to see Hugh Grant in his white tight tennis shorts!!! Nice!!
Perfectly matched March 1, 2009 Rom com addict (U.K) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock are perfectly matched in this quirky rom com. A love story which has great one- liners and fantastic chemistry between it's two lead characters.

Two weeks notice- the best film ever September 9, 2003 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am a romantic comedian at heart, and this film was right up my street. The acting from the splendid Sandra Bullock (Miss Congeniality) and rich stunner Hugh Grant (Notting Hill, About a Boy) is sensational. A classic for all those who are loyal fans of the giggly cuddly films that are romantic comedies. They just get better and better!
one of the best romantic comedies in the last twenty years August 28, 2007 dan the fan (england,uk) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've watched Two Weeks Notice five times and this will give you some idea of the quality of this film.A good storyline that moves at a fast pace, tremendous acting, humorous and intelligent dialogue,a believable and involving rapport between Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock, and the whole thing set in some gorgeous locations in and around New York city. One of the best romantic films I have seen in the last twenty years or so.The extras section of the dvd is nothing special but don't worry about that because the main feature is something special.Hugh Grant is best known for his role in Four Weddings And A Funeral but he should be better known for other roles like this one as George Wade - where he plays a more sophisticated character in a more sophisticated film.
