| Customer Reviews: A Great Film Which Is Well Worth Buying! January 4, 2004 no1filmaddict (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
It was probably about two years ago now that i first saw the last half of this film on TV and i remember how funny and entertaining i had found it. When i then saw that it was on again i just knew that i had to watch it and see if it still had the same appeal, even though i was a few years older. And i will say that if anything, it was better than the first time i saw it.pIt's about a man called Ray Gleason who is a crook trying to go straight, however him and his two buddies decide to do one last robbery, a hoard of coins worth over one million dollars. However, halfway through their plans, Ray's son Timmy turns up unexpectedly and he has other ideas about what to do with the coins.pThe film has not only got a very original storyline, but it is also very funny, and although you might not think it, at times, it's a very gripping film. brThe acting in this is pretty good all round especially from Macaulay Culkin, who plays Timmy the kid who manages to outsmart three crooks including his Dad. Ted Danson who is sort of unknown is on also top form and proves to be a really convincing crook-turned-loving-father. pOverall this a groovy little movie which is suitable for the whole family, and even the adults won't get board at this great little comedy which has both a great storyline and a great cast. Buy this DVD and after you have watched it, it will become a valuable edition to your collection.
