Amazon.co.uk Review The producers of the IAmerican Pie/I movies pushed their luck with a third slice of their lucrative raunchy comedy franchise, but IAmerican Wedding/I cooked up surprisingly well. It's the sourest serving of IPie/I, with half of the original cast missing, and there's something undeniably desperate about comedic highlights (involving dog poop, a lusty old lady, two strippers to offset the absence of Shannon Elizabeth, and the ill-advised use of a trimming razor) that arise more from obligation than inspiration, on the assumption that Ianother/I penile mishap is guaranteed to please. And yet, that's just what this movie does for devoted IPie/I-munchers: it gives 'em what they want, especially when the notorious Stifler (Seann William Scott) nearly ruins the frantic nuptials of Jim (Jason Biggs) and his band-camping sweetheart Michelle (Alyson Hannigan). Eugene Levy and Eddie Kaye Thomas also return for some reliable comic relief, but the one who's laughing most is three-time IPie/I writer Adam Herz--all the way to the bank. I--Jeff Shannon/I

More Pie January 22, 2004 Embers (UK) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
There's nothing missing from this really. Most of the characters are a bit more grown up, Michelle is a lot less irritating than in the previous films. Stifler though - well he hasn't changed. His antics drive the film, the other characters seem to take a supporting role. There are, of course, strippers in lieu of Shannon Elizabeth, and a manic stag night which kicks off without the groom being there. The extras are pretty good as well (I have the Region 1 unrated version) with some good outtakes. If you liked the other films then you will love this.
A Fantastic Finale!!!!!! November 29, 2003 M. D. Hart (London) 18 out of 25 found this review helpful
American Pie 3:AW has not been given enough credit. In fact, that is the understatement of the CENTURY! This movie is absolutely hilarious from start to finish, and when it does finish you can't help but feel sad that the trilogy is complete. With AP12 in the bag, and Wedding about to become just as popular, there could very easily be a fourth but it might be best to quit while they're ahead.pThis movie sees the return of the entire cast with the exceptions of Oz (who is not really missed), Vicky (who shouldn't have even been in the first 1), Stifler's brother, and Nadia (who is most definitely missed by me ;))pSeriously, the story is really quite good, and the performances are fully above par with the rest of the franchise. They really wanted to finish on a winner....and they have.pThere are some fantastic moments in this one, from Stifler becoming a nice guy and fixing everything after he messes up the flowers, Stifler having a strange sexual encounter in a closet.... (yuk), and Stifler dancing on stage in a gay club. Yes, thats right, most of this episode is centred on Stifler....and Seann William Scott is on top form. Kevin tied to a chair with two call girls is hilarity. Jason Biggs and Alison Hannigan are a great couple......but I have to say, the real stars of this show are the parents and the dogs :) :) :) if you haven't seen it yet I wont spoil it but have a spare pair of undies ready......p
A must see film August 28, 2003 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have just been to see this film. The best American Pie film made to date. It is such a feel good film, one to see. The whole cinema was crying out with laughter, can't wait to see what's to come next. A definitely a DVD to buy and keep watching...
Brilliant!!!!! January 19, 2004 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant!!!!!!! The perfect way to end a trilogy of hilarious going's on. brSome of the original cast are missing. But, you've still got the main characters..even Stiflers mom. M.I.L.F!!! (I know, wearing a bit thin now!) It's great to see Jim settle down and no longer worry about 'getting laid', but he still manages to get himself 'stuck' in situations (i.e the restaurant) and his dad still manages (in his unique, supportive way) to dig a big deep hole for Jim to fall down. Stifler, ofcourse, steals the show!! Great job Sean. Buy this film, NOW...
What a climax! January 27, 2004 J. Holloway (West Sussex) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
For anyone who is thinking of buying this film, do! It is an excellent finish to an excellent trilogy of films. The first was of course the best as it was original but the other two are just as good; the jokes have remained as funny, if not got funnier and now the characters have grown up, we still love them! To anyone who says don't buy this, don't listen, you'll be missing out!
