All the players give a very good performance. Special mention must go to Douglas Henshall who gives a great performance as Victor, a failing actor whose life falls apart after losing his girlfriend because he confessed to cheating on her. After a magical intervention by a very unlikely Spanish Refuse collector and his friend, Victor gets the chance to go back in time and stop his confession. However getting back his girl is one thing, keeping her is an entirely new ball game and we follow his efforts to stop fate, who seems determined to throw a spanner in the works at every opportunity. ignore the review from the lady from Cambridge, England! Clearly the person from Cambridge who rented this movie for her 'girly night in' is clearly only a girl and doesn't have the mental or intellectual capacity to understand such a film. The many twists and turns this film takes is wonderful, weird and very unexpected, the film is enhanced ten-fold with it's cut-throat soundtrack and superb acting from the very underrated Douglas Henshall. Look out for one of Penelope Cruz's first appearances in the 'big time', she's an absolute stunner! This film is a must-see and will leave you feeling like you've been through 10 relationships, gone back in time and relived your life a zillion times, twice been drunk at the Notting Hill carnival and also taken a ride on a garbage truck with a couple of scary Italian dustmen! Buy this film December 4, 2008 andy (uk) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful This film is brill i can't believe this slipped past me in the late 90's the storys brill the main guy in it "douglas henshall" is proberly the ugliest man on the planet but hes funny and hes really drunk all the way through it REALLY!.In one scene he nearly falls down the steps coz hes pissed and hes not meant to be in the film.I cant believe he got drunk and still got away with it in the film so funny.The only bad thing is the awful reggae music in the film but dont be put off the film is really great a fantasy love tale.Lena headey is in the film and shes so beautiful and sexy you have to buy this film just try not to stare at the main guy in it for to long.and dont forget hes actually drunk all the way thru it ha ha.
