I picked this DVD up very cheap and was mesmerized. Great WW2 film.

I rented this off the Amazon rental service and I must say it is worth renting and buying. (Definitely one to show the older kids 10+ who cover the wars in their history class). It is a true story and its along the same lines of the other wartime true story - (about how the German and American soldiers called a truce and came together for one day on Christmas Day to play football), but Silent Night is better. The story has more depth to it, and I could definitely watch it again. These heartwarming stories made me realise there must be many more true stories out there, similar to these, that have never been made into films. A heartwarming film to watch over the Christmas period.
