Nice, sweet, chick flick. Whether you like Jason Isaacs or not really nice film to watch on a Saturday Afternoon with a glass of wine and a box of chocolates.

3 out of 5 stars Gentle and enjoyable   June 12, 2005

It's not a blockbuster; I wasn't on the edge of my seat; it didn't make me cry; it didn't make me laugh. That's why I describe it as gentle - I watched it without going through an emotional wringer! Jason Isaacs plays a "loveable rogue" trying to woo a very glamourous lady, widowed with a teenage daughter (Emmy Rossum). Just try to ignore his awful wig, which he had to wear because he'd been working on Black Hawk Down and was practically bald!! The special features on the DVD are pretty good - the feature length commentary with the actors is especially entertaining. If you like romantic films, give it a go; if you're a Jason Isaacs fan, buy it!! Not only does he star, he also talks a lot on the commentary!!
